About Dhangarhi Gate

Dhangadi Gate is one of the main entry points for visitors going to the Dhikala Range of Jim Corbett National Park. It's located 20 km from Ramnagar at Ranikhet Road, and it's the best option for visitors looking to stay overnight at one of the forest Rest Houses in Sultan, Gairal, Sarapduli, Khinnanauli or Dhikala.

The Dhangadi Gate is open from 15 November to 15 June annually and is closed during the monsoon season. Entry from the Dhangadi Gate is only allowed for visitors who have a permit for a night stay at the FRHs within Jim Corbett National Park. A day tour, named the Ramganga tour, is available for those who wish to explore the park during daylight hours. The tour covers a wide variety of vegetation and some of the jungle's scenic beauty.

Dhangadi Gate is the main entry point for Dhikala Range, located just 20 kilometers from Ramnagar. Corbett Tiger Reserve is one of the most popular national parks in India and is home to a large number of tigers.

Dhangadi Gate is located at 20 km from the Ramnagar city and taxi/jeep are easily available to reach Dhangadi Gate. Ramnagar is well connected by road and rail. Regular buses are available from Delhi (245 kms), Haldwani (55 kms), Kathgodam (63 kms) and other major cities of Garhwal and Kumaon to reach Ramnagar. The nearest rail is at Ramnagar railway station (21 kms) and airport at Pantnagar airport or Delhi IGI airport.
